Caesars Entertainment Expands Presence in Pennsylvania with Tropicana Online Casino Launch

Caesars Entertainment, a major player in the US gambling industry, has announced the launch of Tropicana Casino PA, its second online gaming casino in Pennsylvania. The new online casino is licensed by Harrah’s Philadelphia, which also holds the license for Caesars Casino PA.

With the launch of Tropicana Casino, Caesars aims to gain a larger share of the Pennsylvania online gambling market, which is currently the largest in the country.

Tropicana Casino PA Offers Wide Range of Games

Tropicana Casino PA offers a diverse range of classic and modern casino games, including American and European Roulette, market-leading slot games from top providers, live dealer blackjack, poker, and baccarat, as well as digital classics such as video poker.

The Tropicana online casino features hundreds of slots games, 16 table games, 27 live dealer tables, and seven video poker rooms.

Caesars Building Market Share in Pennsylvania

By launching a second internet casino under the Harrah’s Philadelphia license, Caesars Entertainment is demonstrating its commitment to the Keystone State. Pennsylvania recorded $181.5 million in web based casino revenue in March 2023, setting a new record.

Harrah’s Philadelphia is currently the sixth-highest revenue earner among license holders, with $16.3 million in revenue from just one operator in 2023.

Caesars’ CEO Tom Reeg has been vocal about his intention to increase the company’s market share in Pennsylvania. Reeg stated in a 2022 Q1 earnings call that he has “always had Pennsylvania on his mind.”

He plans to tie the online casinos into the company’s brick-and-mortar business in Chester and Atlantic City. Caesars Sportsbook PA has already seen benefits from its August 2022 rebranding, jumping ahead of Barstool Sportsbook to finish fourth in handle in March 2023.

Harrah’s Philadelphia is unlikely to reach the revenue levels of top earners Hollywood Penn National and Rivers Philadelphia, which operate multiple virtual casinos.

However, Caesars Entertainment’s continued expansion in the Pennsylvania online casino market demonstrates its commitment to building a stronger presence in the state.
